About

All Lotus Pocus songs are original and written and performed by Brady and recorded at The Lodge and Spiderweb Cabin. Songs explore various topics related to enlightenment, illusion, duality, play, nature, control, relationships with others and the self, and patience. Crosby the Wunderkid plays percussion featured on many of the songs. Jake Knight has some sick (his word, not mine) punch-ins on Line Up and Dance. The line “hit the road Jack…..” was shamelessly stolen from Percy Mayfield (as recorded by Ray Charles).

In 2014, Charles M, whom I do not know, sent a poem to my place of work. I’ve held onto it since, and was inspired one enlightened night in Spiderweb Cabin to use the poem in parts of Electro-Energy and Electro-Waves. The lyrics are magic, electric, and connective. Thank you Charles.

Hawks, bats, cicadas, crickets, and tree frogs at Spiderweb Cabin also feature as themselves on various songs, most notably on Line Up and Taste of Life.

The ever so patient Jake Knight of This Pine Box mixed the entire album and recorded various tracks on Old Friend, Line Up, Electro-Energy, Electro-Waves, and Dance.

The super talented and zen Clint Woods created the album artwork and associated mandalas, banners, thumbnails, and videos.

Gratitude

The support for this passion project has been tremendous. First and foremost, a most heartfelt thank you to my wife Amie for supporting me and supporting long nights at Spiderweb Cabin. Thanks for letting me Dance and dancing with me. And thanks to my tremendously talented and ever so loving kids – and thank you School of Rock for the dedication to our family’s musical journey. The kids have heard my songs more than anyone and the encouragement they’ve given me melts my heart. And to Crosby, as wonderful as a musician you are becoming, you are an even better human. I hope you enjoyed what was your first of many studio experiences.

To many of my friends who have listened, encouraged, and checked in on this project. Lindsey, Mike, Mollie, Rhi, Magz, Paul, Tanner, Jon, Mike, Drew, Bob, John R, Johnny, Sarah, Dan, Isaac, Kricket, Charlie, Handsome Rob, Max, Noah, and Johnny Wo. To Scott P, thank you for inspiring Old Friend and thank you for the friendship and conversation.  Thanks to Nate C for listening and building sweet guitars. Thanks to J Kennedy and D Frye for making them sound great.

To Stamper, my biggest cheerleader, thank you for supporting and inspiring this crazy journey we’ve both been on.

To Craig B, thank you for the constant inspiration, collaboration, and friendship. I look forward to future moments of creativity with you – and writing more about Linda, little Mary Mae, and “dance parties”.

To Rob K, thank you for the encouragement, coaching, and feedback on the work. I’m lucky to have found you.

To Jake Knight, thanks for your patience, encouragement, and persistence in getting this out to the world. You were the perfect mentor and collaborator for this project. I can’t wait to see where your talents take you.

To Clint Woods, thank you for bringing the music to life visually. I feel the Electro-Energy when I see your work. I patiently await your future creations and look forward to a night of cards.

To Susan G, thank you for drawing this out of me, encouraging me to follow the music, and being among the first to hear every new song. Your feedback and enthusiasm was the fuel I needed. The world too deserves more of your magic.
